Started it all with three kittens and a spare room. Still does the 6am feeds. Ask her favourite rescue and she'll always say, "the next one."
Purr Heaven exists for one simple reason: every cat deserves safety, care, and the chance to be loved. We're a small, cage-free rescue and café where second chances start with a warm bowl, a soft blanket, and all the time in the world.
Every rescue starts with compassion.
In 2022, our founder Abby took in three kittens nobody else had room for.
They slept in a cardboard box in her spare room, and within a week they'd taken over the whole house — and her whole heart. So she kept saying yes. To the cat found behind the market. To the litter left at the clinic door. Friends started helping, word spread, and a spare room quietly became something bigger.
Rescue matters because every one of those cats had a story that could have ended differently. The frightened ones, the overlooked ones, the ones who'd been given up on more than once. Purr Heaven exists so their stories don't end that way — so that every cat gets the patience, the warmth, and the second chance they always deserved.
Every cat who comes through our door moves gently through the same journey — from rescued, to ready, to home.
We take in cats from streets, shelters and surrenders — the scared, the sick, the overlooked.
Food, medicine and patience. Every cat heals on their own timeline, never rushed.
We match each cat to the right family, so their next home is their last.
We help people understand cats — their needs, their quirks, and how to love them well.
Our care doesn't end at adoption. We're here for every family, for life.
A small, soft-hearted crew who do the early feeds, the late vet runs, and every happy-ever-after in between.

Rescue Coordinator
First to answer a 2am "there's a cat in trouble" call. Swears every cat tells her their name on arrival — and honestly, we believe her.
Our Volunteer Team
Two dozen big-hearted regulars who scoop, brush, play and reassure. The lounge runs on their love (and a lot of coffee).
Foster Homes Citywide
The spare rooms that take in the tiniest and most timid until they're ready. Quiet heroes scattered all across the city.
Long before the first coffee is poured, a lot of quiet love goes into every cat's day. Here's the part visitors don't usually see.
Breakfast for every resident, plus meds for those who need them. Nobody eats late.
Check-ups, vaccinations, and nervous new arrivals getting their first clean bill of health.
Fresh bedding, scrubbed bowls, new toys and puzzle feeders to keep clever minds busy.
Gentle, unhurried conversations to help match each cat with exactly the right person.
Last cuddles, last feeds, lights low. Someone always stays until every cat is settled.
Four little beliefs, pinned to the wall and lived out every single day.
Every decision starts with one question: what's kindest for the cat?
Healing can't be hurried. We move at the cat's pace, always.
Old, shy, black, three-legged — none of it matters. All of them matter.
Adopters, fosters, volunteers, visitors — rescue is a team sport.
We're young, and we're growing — and every milestone has a furry face behind it.
Three kittens, one spare room, and the beginning of absolutely everything.
We packed a small hall — and twelve cats went home that very weekend.
Local vets, cafés and shelters joined us to reach more cats in need.
Our cage-free café and adoption lounge welcomed its very first guests.
And counting — every single one of them with a name and a story.
Real cats, real people, real second chances — caught somewhere between rescue and forever.

"We came in for coffee and left with Biscuit. Honestly the best accident of our lives."
"I started volunteering to help the cats. Turns out they quietly helped me right back."
"Fostering kittens is chaos and joy in equal measure. I wouldn't trade a single second of it."
Whether you adopt, foster, volunteer, donate, or simply spend an afternoon with us, you're helping create more happy endings.
