A Collection of Second Chances
Every photo here tells a story — a frightened arrival, a first sunbeam, a forever goodbye. Scroll slowly. This is rescue, recovery, and a whole lot of happy endings.
The morning Willow finally relaxed
When Willow arrived, she spent four whole days pressed into the back corner of her cubby, certain the world had nothing soft left in it. We didn't rush her. We just sat nearby, kept her bowl full, and waited.
Then one grey Tuesday, a volunteer felt the smallest weight settle against her arm — Willow, asleep, purring, finally sure she was safe. This is that photo. It's our favourite kind: not a before, not an after, but the exact moment everything changes.
She was adopted six weeks later. Of course she was. — the Purr Heaven team
Where every story begins
The scared first days, the slow exhale, the moment a cat realises they're finally safe.
Ordinary, wonderful afternoons
Sunbeams, slow coffee, feather chases and world-class naps — the everyday rhythm of the lounge.
Together we make it possible
Rescue is a team sport. These are the volunteers, fosters, neighbours and regulars who make every second chance happen.
The first hello
Meet-and-greet afternoons, where a person and a cat quietly decide they belong together.
Forever home moments
The whole point of everything we do — cats who are home for good, and clearly thrilled about it.
We came in for a coffee and a cuddle. We left with our photo on this very wall — and a cat named Sunny.
